This was a group show with 3 other artists, Marry Parslow, Shauna Hoffos, and Mary Mottishaw.
I continued using poetry as underpainting. The work "Step Into The Abyss" uses the wisdom of Rumi, while the painting "Combustion" uses the poem Dementia or Divinity written by Tanis McRae.
I had a lady come up to me at the opening to chat about Combustion. She felt conflicted by it - she said parts she found very peaceful and loving while other parts of the work she found angry. I found that quite interesting considering what the poem was saying.
